This competition is run by the Soil, Food and Society project in association with supporting stakeholders and project partners.

This competition is open to all New Zealand primary and intermediate schools, enviro' school groups and agricultural clubs with students in years 5 - 8.

The competition will run from Monday 26th February to Friday 23rd March 2018.

No entry fee nor purchase is necessary to enter this competition.

By entering this competition the entrant agrees to being added to the www.soilfoodsociety.online database to receive resource updates and notifications about this competition. (Unsubscribe will be available).

By entering this competition the entrant is bound by these terms and conditions.

Only one entry per school, enviro' group or ag' club is permitted.

No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are not received by Soil, Food and Society by the closing date.

The prize is $500 worth of garden centre vouchers. These can be redeemed at a garden centre located close to the winning organisation. These must be used towards the creation and/or development of an edible garden, which is on the site of the school, enviro' group or ag' club.

This prize is non-negotiable and non-transferable. No cash alternative will be provided.

The winner must agree to submit a photo story documenting the creation and/or development of the edible garden to Soil, Food and Society. This will be used for publicity purposes. This must be submitted within six months from winning the competition – or within a time-frame agreed with the organisers.

The winning organisation will also agree to feature (name and images) in other marketing and cross-media material relating to the promotion of the Soil, Food and Society online teaching resource, and this competition.

The winning organisation will be notified, where possible, ahead of any material being published. However, the winning organisation understands that this is not always possible.

All entries will go into a prize draw.

One winner will be drawn from ‘a hat’, randomly, by an independent party.

The winning organisation will be notified by email or phone within two weeks of the closing date of the competition. This will be followed by a public announcement.

The winning organisation understands that this announcement will involve publicity.

The name of the winning organisation is final and cannot be contested. Soil, Food and Society together with supporting stakeholders and project partners reserves the right not to enter into any debate.

The prize will be presented to the winning organisation by a representative from Soil, Food and Society and/or one of the supporting stakeholders or project partners.

Soil, Food and Society and supporting stakeholers/project partners reserve the right to cancel or amend this competition in the event of an unforeseen situation. Entrants will be notified of any changes to the competition as soon as possible.

The closing date for entry into this competition will be 5:00pm on Friday 23rd March 2018. After this date no further entries will be accepted.

The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
